Octave is very envious of his friend Félicie who receives letters from his cousin Célestine. Why does he never get any? Probably because he has no mailbox or cousin.

To sort out these little details, Octave goes to the hardware store. This one sells him a magnificent mailbox and gives him the address of his cousin Winifred, who lives in Australia. Now that Octave has everything he needs, he can send his first letter. He chooses the W, for Winifred.

Thus begins a long correspondence which will make the alphabet travel from one end of the world to the other and will give birth to a beautiful friendship.
